Soy Mujer, Soy electricista

Empowering female talent to transform the future of electrification.

Training that opens new opportunities

Soy Mujer, Soy Electricista It is an initiative created in Peru to promote inclusion and women’s professional development in the electrical industry. Through specialized training scholarships, the program provides technical knowledge and practical tools for working in electrical installations, helping break down barriers, strengthen participants’ independence, and create new opportunities for personal and professional growth. Since its first edition in 2023, the program has developed a training model based on education, collaboration, and a strong commitment to gender equality.

Through education and the support of partner organizations, the initiative helps reduce gender gaps in an industry historically dominated by men and promotes more diverse and inclusive electrification.

With each edition, the program has expanded its reach and strengthened its network of partners. Legrand joined as the initiative evolved, and WEG became part of the third edition to continue promoting the inclusion and professional development of female talent.

70 Women graduates

during three editions, driving female talent in the electrical sector.

An initiative born in Peru with regional impact

Soy Mujer, Soy Electricista goes beyond learning how to perform electrical installations. The program seeks to strengthen participants’ independence, employability and professional development by providing tools to enter and grow within the electrical sector.

In recognition of their effort and academic performance, Indeco by Nexans has awarded scholarships to continue the Industrial Electricity degree at SENATI. Outstanding participants can also gain exposure to real production environments through professional internship opportunities, strengthening their experience and connection with the industry.

The experience developed in Peru also inspired its adaptation in Colombia under the name Mujeres Electrificadoras, consolidating a regional vision that connects technical training, inclusion and opportunity with the future of electrification.
